Promise around petanque

For today's entry, I have no picture. My camera has broken down on me since our return from Kyoto... I have practiced a bit this morning at park. There I had a spectator. An old man. Kept his smile and watched me as if I am his grand son. When I was packing myself to go, he came to me. He said he has been playing Petanque once a year at Senior Social Meeting day, playing sport is good whatever it is, and he was wondering where I got my boules. I explained in shortest description saying "I bought these from French man". He nodded happily but immediately he repeated his comments and questions again for the 2nd time... Then I realized his condition. As my last word, I told him that next time we should play together. He made a big smile and left.
Few seconds later, when I was passing him by bicycle, I bowed to him. He made a expression that he has seen me for the first time in his long life... I sincerely hope that our promise to play together will be realized.
