Life Story with Petanque/ペタンク絡みの人生

When I was practicing this morning, a gentleman came to me and we have spoken a bit. He was in Taxi driver uniform, but had the elegance no other drivers posessed with. He was in his early 50s. He was watching me practice for a while before he opened his mouth. Then he told me his life story. He used to work for a French company which develops resort site. It was mandatory for the employers to play Petanque... What an environment! 　So, he had to play Petanque every day. I debated myself whether I should recruit him to our club or not... but I did not. When he talked about Petanque, he had this sad eyes. Besides that, if he is interested, he knows where to find me. I hope that he would come back with his boules.
今朝練習していると、紳士が一人やってきて、少しお話しをしました。　彼はタクシー運転手のユニフォームを着ていましたが、エレガントな雰囲気を醸していました。　５０歳前半と言った所でしょうか。彼の人生の一部を話してくれたのですが、リゾート開発を行うフランスの企業にかつて勤めており、ペタンクは必須だったそうです。　お陰で毎日ペタンクをしていたと・・・羨ましい環境！　我がクラブにお誘いしようか考えましたが、踏み止まりました。　ペタンクの話をする彼の眼が寂しそうだったからです。　それに興味があれば私がどこで練習しているかは、すでに存じていらっしゃるしね。　彼がブールを持って現れるのを心待ちにしています。
