Petanque in Mito, 2

There is a huge park in Mito called "Kairakuen". It is best 3 park for Plum tree blossom. While my kids were taking care of my parents, I sneaked out and found time for practice. This is at the edge of the park which seems to be like spair parking lot for special occasion. Nobody there and field is close enough to eye on my kids.

The surface was so hard. The boule made metalic landing sound.

I have reached one conclusion. To find ideal field to play petanque, it should not be too metropolitan, or too country side. City like Hiratsuka has lots of good place to play.

水戸には偕楽園と呼ばれる巨大な公園があり、日本三大梅園の一つです。息子たちが爺婆の世話を焼いている隙に(その逆とも言う)抜け出して、公園の端に写真の場所を見つけ練習しました。子供たちが遊ぶ芝生のフィールドも近く視界に入る絶好の位置です。　誰も居ない臨時駐車場のような場所で、表面は非常に固く、ブールは金属音をたてて落ちます。

ひとつの結論に達したのですが、ペタンクをプレーするに適した場所を見つけるには、都会過ぎても、田舎過ぎても良くない。平塚のような町には、適した場所が沢山あると言う事です。
