Petanque in Mito

My family was visiting our parents' in Mito, Ibaraki over the weekend. We stoped at Oharai beach park and found the play ground for children as you can see in the picture. I had La Molle indoor petanque boules, so I have started to play. First my eldest son joined me and soon kids gathered around us and asked if they can play. Other parents were looking at us like they wanted to play... Then I realized on the way home, there was a sign say "No ball sports in this park". They did not want to play, they just did not know how to stop us...

週末は家族で水戸の実家を訪れました。大洗のビーチパークに写真のキッズ広場を見つけました。　インドアペタンクのボールを持ち合わせていたので、練習開始。すぐに長男が一緒にプレーし始め、回りの子供たちも”やらせてー”と近寄ってきました。他の親御さん達はこちらを見るばかり。　帰り際に理由が分かりました。　看板に”ボールを使った球技禁止”と書いてあったのです。　親御さん達は、本当は止めたかったんでしょうね。　空気読めなさ過ぎでした・・・
