ZAMA Petanque Tournament

ACE has teamed up with Buehler-san and played in ZAMA open tournament as Aoyama Petanque , and have had good result in tournament; 2nd place. It was our first tournament which is organized by FJP so we took caution and I became baby sitter of our energetic boyz. The team struggled on the no grabbeled school ground with hidden rock underneath and dynamic undulation. How they struggled? Most of the games they have played was close matches so they have had no time to rest between games. Most unfortunate was that the victory slips off our hands in the final. The oppornent team at final has had totally different style from ours. They point and point by rolling without tir. They also are from Hiratsuka, so 3 finalists out of 4 was citizen of Hiratsuka! Wow! For the school ground it could be a right strategy, but style we are aiming is to use whatever the pointing technique which is required on the spot with tir to gain the momentum. It was good result in very well organized tournament, but one smear in the good day was that our style did lost against others. I felt more urge to practice harder to be able to point on whatever the terrain condition, and tir directly.
座間で開催されたトーナメントで、青山ペタンクとしてビューラーさんと組んでACEが出場し、２位と言う良い結果を出す事ができました。　座間ペタンク様によりオープン形式で開催されたトーナメントで、我々としては初めてペタンク協会が主催する大会にエントリーでした。　ご迷惑をお掛けしないよう、私は子守りに徹して試合には出ませんでした。　チームは砂利の無い学校の校庭で、しかも所々石が埋まっていたり、大きなウネリがあったり、ティールは手前に落ちるとジャンプしてしまうと、非常に苦労しました。　その結果？ほとんどのゲームが接戦で、試合に次ぐ試合を休みなく続けるほどでした。 非常に残念ながら優勝を逃したのですが、決勝の相手チームは我々とまるっきり異なるスタイルのペタンクで、ロールポアンテのみ。　決勝チームも平塚だったので、決勝４人中３人は平塚市民と言う快挙？　学校の校庭では正しい選択だったのかもしれませんね。　しかしながら我々の目指しているスタイルはテランコンディションや状況に応じて、持てるポアンテの技術を発揮し、ティールで勝ちを引き寄せると言うもの。　とても良く運営された大会で、良い結果を残しながらも、我々のスタイルで勝てなかった事が一つ気になりました。　私自身はこの結果を踏まえて、どんな状態のテランでもポワンテを成功させ、直接当たるティールを強化した練習が益々必要と感じました。　最後に、会場でお会いした方々と今後の交流が図れそうで非常に良い一日でした。　座間ペタンクの皆様、小田原ペタンクの皆様、相模原の皆様、そして何より平塚ペタンクの皆様、今後ともよろしくお願い申し上げます。
