Tokyo Petanque League

We have participated our last game in Tokyo Petanque League as member of Aoyama Petanque.   As the team, we have lost 6-2 to All star team Mon Soleil again.  Ace won 1 game against team consists No.1 player of Japan as teaming up with Buehler-san.  Toward the end of the game, she has had close to 10m shot left.  She announced that she was going for pointing, but her team mate and I have encouraged her to tir.  She ended up hitting it directly.  With rest of boules, Buehler-san has performed well thought tir with 2 bounds, which concluded the game.  It was great performance of both which was so inspiring.

I was well prepared as I have had 2 weeks practice on smooth park.  Despite the fact I love flashy porte, I killed my ego and stick to the soft rolling.  This was correct choice of tactics and my performance was best of the year.  Also I was honored to play with the most respecting pointer in Japan Mr.K.  His performance was great.   It was my dream to play against him as pointer and it was overwhelming experience.   However losing the game made me depress...

I would like to thank Aoyama Petanque to have us as member through this season.  Us been part mean other members have less chance of competing.  Also, I have really bad record of only 1 win...  I am sorry that I could not contribute to the team.  We could only show our gratitude by having good performance in next season as competitor to Aoyama Petanque. 

東京ペタンクリーグの最終戦に青山ペタンクのメンバーとして、最後の参戦をしました。　チームとしてまたもやMon Soleilに6-2と負けてしまいました。　エースは国内最高プレーヤーのチームに、ビューラーさんと組んで挑み、見事に勝利しました。　ゲーム終盤に、約10mのティールの場面がやってきました。　彼女はポワンテで行く事を宣言しましたが、ビューラーさんと私で、ティールで行くように押しました。　結果はダイレクト・ヒット！　ビューラーさんは悩んだ末で意図的な2バウンド・ティールを成功させ勝利をもぎ取りました。　素晴らしいパフォーマンスで、周囲も奮起させるものでした。

私は２週間前から砂利の無いテランでの予習を行い挑みました。　見栄えのするポルテが好きなのですが、チームのために、エゴを捨て、転がしポワンテに徹しました。　戦術として正解であり、今年ベストのポワンテを行う事ができました。　また、勝手に”ポワンテの鬼”と尊敬している埼玉のＫ籐さんと対戦する事ができました。　素晴らしいパフォーマンスでした。　K籐さんとポワンテ対決をする事が私の一つの目標だったので、私にとって素晴らしい経験になりました。　でも試合には負けて落ち込みました・・・

最後に今シーズン、メンバーとして迎えて下さった青山ペタンクの皆様にお礼申し上げます。　我々が参加すると言う事は、他のメンバーの方々の出場機会を減らすことになるにも関わらずです。　更には、私はシーズンを通しチームに貢献する事ができませんでした。　すみません！　来シーズンは皆様への恩返しを、対抗チームとして良いパフォーマンスをする事により果たしたいと思います。
